How do we raise superior chicken?
The difference is in the details.
Living an outdoor lifestyle, our chickens have full access to sunshine and fresh air, bugs and critters they find in the pasture, and native plants and grasses that stretch across their home pasture. Their diet is varied and nutrient-dense. Chickens raised on pasture still require additional feed to supplement their natural foraging, so we source only the freshest and highest-quality USDA Certified Organic feeds. Our organic regenerative farm integrates sustainable practices, encourages biodiversity, and builds healthy soils. Our style of farming is completely nature-driven.

Animal welfare
We are proud to offer our chickens a superior lifestyle that is free from stress. At the core of our production model is a keen focus on their overall welfare. We ensure our chickens always have ample care, space, and enrichment available to enhance their experience on the farm. A happy chicken is a healthy chicken.

Raised on grass
At Greener Pastures we support biodiversity on all levels. By maintaining a diverse collection of native grasses in our pastures, we ensure a wealth of microorganisms, critters, bugs, and grubs that our chickens can enjoy foraging for to supplement their diet. This provides the optimal setting for our chickens to enjoy their environment and stay active, wandering around the pasture, scratching in the dirt, and enjoying the sights outside in the soothing fresh air.

No antibiotics or hormones
Our chickens are never raised with antibiotics or hormones. The combination of superior nutrition, high-quality feed ingredients, an active lifestyle, and safe and healthy living spaces ensure that our chickens build a robust immune system and high level of well-being from the start.

Organic & Non-GMO
Our farm is managed under the guidelines of the USDA National Organic Program though our practices go well beyond the minimum that is required by the USDA. USDA requirements prohibit synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, antibiotics, hormones, and other harmful elements. Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are also strictly prohibited - the Certified Organic seal means Non-GMO.
While it is our passion to provide only the highest quality possible, you don’t have to take our word for it - third party inspectors verify that all of our practices adhere to the requirements of USDA Certified Organic.

Going the extra mile
Our farm meets the more specific high standards of two new certifications that are being created to take animal welfare and sustainability even farther. Stay tuned for more information on the Real Organic Project and the Regenerative Organic Certification.
